Customizing Feedback Properties

Every Feedback object comes with a set of default properties to help you manage and triage it:

  • Reporter: Who submitted the feedback

  • Source: Where it came from (e.g. Slack, Intercom)

  • Status: Lifecycle stage (e.g. “To Process”, “Processing”, “Processed”, or “Canceled”)

But you don’t have to stop there. Cycle allows you to customize Feedback objects with properties that fit your workflow.

Custom Feedback Properties

You can add custom properties using different field types, such as:

  • Single select – e.g., Priority: High / Medium / Low

  • Multi select – e.g., Affected Platforms: Web, iOS, Android

  • Checkboxes

  • Date pickers

  • URLs

  • And more...

Let's go back to our feedback object from earlier and apply the newly created property.

By applying custom properties like “Affected Platforms” to a piece of Feedback, you bring structure to otherwise raw input — without losing its original context.
