What Are Views?

Views in Cycle let you organize, filter, and visualize your Feedback, Quotes, or Requests exactly how you want. A view is simply a way to see just what’s relevant to you—nothing more, nothing less.

Whether you’re a product manager tracking high-priority bugs, a squad lead reviewing requests for your area, or a team member scanning for customer pain points, custom views keep your workspace tidy and actionable.

🛠️ Creating and Customizing Views

You can create a view for Feedback, Quotes, or Requests. Each view can be fully tailored to your workflow.

How to create a new view:

  1. Click the “+” icon in the Views section or sidebar.

  2. Choose List or Kanban.

  3. Select the level: Feedback, Quotes, or Requests.

  4. Apply filters (e.g. status, product area, assignee, urgency).

  5. Group docs by a property (e.g. status, product area, assignee, importance).

Only Makers can create and edit views. If you’re not a Maker, ask a workspace admin to update your role.

🗂️ Types of Views

  • List View:

Displays docs in a clean, vertical list. You can expand/collapse groups for easier browsing. Perfect for triaging, managing backlogs, and reviewing details at a glance.

  • Kanban View:

Visualizes docs as cards in horizontal columns—great for roadmaps, prioritization, or tracking work across statuses, areas, or owners.

✨ Make Views Work for You

  • Filter to focus only on what matters—like high-priority features, open bugs, or feedback for a specific product line.

  • Group by any attributes to organize Feedbacks, Requests, Quotes in ways that fit your workflow (e.g. by status, product area, importance, assignee).

  • Star your favorite views for quick access.

  • Export all the data used in your view to a .csv file for analysis outside Cycle.

💡 Example View Setups

  • Squad-specific Feedback: List of Feedback, filtered by product area and grouped by status.

  • Bugs by Urgency: Kanban of Requests (filtered for Bugs), grouped by Importance.

  • PRD Pipeline: Kanban of Requests, grouped by timeline or owner.

  • Voice of Customer: List or Kanban of Quotes, grouped by feature or customer.

🔗 Quick Tips

  • Drag & drop to rearrange views.

  • Duplicate or delete views by clicking the three dots next to the view's name

Bulk edit by selecting multiple docs to move, assign, or update at once.
